Update on Pinewoods Yankee Farm meat & Lee Country Fair

I got a response back from Pinewoods Yankee Farm regarding their meat. Tina Sawtelle (of PYF) does keep a waiting list and as their meat becomes available she'll contact those people first. If they have filled their waiting list she will let you know what she has available in the freezer and you can choose from there.

She stated that they marketed their last batch of 92% lean ground beef at $3.75/lb, sirloin was $6.99/lb, steak tips were $5.99/lb, brisket was $4.99/lb, tenderloin was $17.99/lb, and ribs were $8.99/lb. Do realize prices could change with the latest beef being processed in September.

She's requested that you call AFTER Sept. 6th to request meat. Which brings me to my next event. The 50th annual Lee Country Fair will be held on Sept. 6th from 9 am - 9 pm on Lee Hill in Lee, NH. Tina is running the Artisans/Farmers Market at the fair and will busy with that so she'll be able to discuss meat purchases in the weeks following the fair.

Lee Country Fair
Here's the list of activities happening at the Lee Country Fair: children's parade, food, face painting & tattoos, apple peeling contest, 4H demo & exhibits, martial arts demos, visit with the animals, children's games pedal tractor pull, pie eating contest, karaoke, baked goods, raffles, roast beef & chicken BBQ and line & square dancing. And don't forget the artisans/farmer's market! A day of fun is to be had by all! Come on down on Sept. 6th! I'll blog about this event as the time draws closer.
