This and That Tuesday

My computer's motherboard crashed on me last Thursday, hence my absence! So I have a few things I'm going to blog about today and just get it all out there in one fell swoop. I do have a motherboard on order, so hopefully I'll be back up and running in the next week or so. On to upcoming events...

First off is the Maple Syrup Weekend at Sugarmomma's Maple Farm in Northwood, NH. More information can be found here.

Also this weekend is the Seacoast Home & Garden Show at the UNH Whitemore Center in Durham, NH. Be sure to print out this coupon for $2 off general admission.

Show hours are:

Friday, March 27th from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m
Saturday, March 28th from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Sunday March 29th from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

A last minute note, Wednesday March 25th at 7 pm, the Dover Friends Meeting will be hosting a documentary entitled: The World According to Monsanto: From Agent Orange to Genetically Modified Crops. The Dover Friends Meeting is located at 141 Central Ave, Dover, NH. Sponsored by The Peace and Social Concerns Committee of the Dover Friends Meeting, Seacoast Peace Response, Seacoast Alliance for Democracy, Clean Water Action. Free and open to the public. For more info, contact Phyllis Killam-Abell, 580-1934, e-mail pkillamabell@comcast.net.

Yellow House Farm
still has Chicken Husbandry 101 classes available. They are also offering Duck and Goose Husbandry 101 as well. Be sure to stop by their website for more information. And don't forget to order your spring chicks as well.

Kittery Adult Education is hosting a workshop on Wednesday, April 1st at 6-9 pm called "Grow Your Own Organic Garden." This is a part of their new Victory Garden Series and sponsored by the MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association). There are over 20 additional venues hosting this class as well.

This Thursday is the "From Pasture to Plate" lecture from 3:30-6:30 pm at the Brentwood Community Center.

Lastly, my Chocolate Chili Cha-Cha took first place in the chili competition. I can't believe it! So now you have to try it.

So there are quite a few events here. Be sure to pull out your calendar and make note. See you this weekend at the Sugarmomma's Maple Farm!

I'm on a temporary laptop right now while I wait for a new one after mine just stopped working one day. It's somehow hard to find the inspiration to do the things I used to do happily every day on MY laptop. Hope your new motherboard comes soon!
