A Sweet Weekend
I have a few weekend reminders for you!
This weekend is the official NH Maple Weekend. You can visit the more than 75 sugar houses across the state who will be producing around 90,000 gallons of maple syrup. That's alot of pancakes! I throw my support behind Sugarmomma who took me off the fake crap and onto the yummy sweet real maple syrup! Sugarmomma's Maple Farm will be open this Saturday and Sunday with a plethora of maple treats for sale and a pancake breakfast, hayrides, and sugar house tours! So find a local sugar house and stop by for one of NH's sweetest treats!
The Greater Seacoast Permaculture Group will be holding a meet up this Sunday, March 28, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. in Barrington. This meet up will be a film and food night. The movie featured will be Dirt! The Movie, which “tells the story of Earth’s most valuable and under appreciated source of fertility–from its miraculous beginning to its crippling degradation.” Following the movie will be a potluck dinner and discussion about the film. For more information about the event click here.
Also this weekend is the Seacoast Home & Garden Show at the Whittemore Center as well as the Annual UNH Greenhouse Open House. Lucy and I stopped by today and had a blast! Check the website for the schedule of events, parking, and even a discount coupon!
And stand by for my post about the upcoming helicopter Easter egg drop at the Oyster River High School next weekend! Plus I'll be back around soon with a review of Amelia Mae's & Co. Goodies BBQ sauce!
