What's For Dinner Wednesday 9/22

Yet another yummy What's for Dinner menu available at the upcoming Rye Farmers' Market!

This week’s menu starts with Peach Salsa – the peaches are so sweet now at the end of their season to put on cereal or yogurt or to make salsa!  As the peach season ends, the apple season begins, so the entree includes cinnamon peaches with broiled pork chops and a vegetable medley.  With only a few more weeks left in the summer market, now is the time to be cooking with as many local, fresh vegetables as you can!  And dessert, of course, has to include apples – it’s a new twist on Apple Crisp.  Quick, easy and delicious.

Also at this weeks Rye Farmers' Market is their Second Annual Apple Pie Baking contest!  To enter you just show up with your pie by 3:00 and judging is at 4:00.  Yum, yum, yum!

The Rye Farmers' Market is open from 2-5:30pm and located at the Rye Town Parking Lot to the right of the Rye Congregational Church where Central and Washington Roads meet.
