Night Before the Fourth Celebration
The Night Before The Fourth celebrations, set for the Rochester Fairground on July 3, will be put on by the Journey Baptist Church, with help from the Rochester Fair Association and a host of other volunteers and donors. The gates open at 3 pm.
This is a FREE event at the Fairgrounds. A canned good donation is suggested, but not required.
Fair food vendors will be on site and there will be free activity tables for children. The firework display, provided by Central Maine Pyrotechnics, is slated for 9:30 p.m., but before this, at 7 p.m., a flag which has been flown over the Capitol in Washington, D.C., will be ceremoniously raised by AMVETS Post 1 and VFW Post 1772, whose members have, in years past, engaged in fireworks of a different nature. At this point, the national anthem will be sung by Selena Croteau of Dover.
Four Christian bands will playing from 4 pm - 9: 30 pm
- Salinity
- Where are the Nine
- True Witness
- Mitch McVicker
